莊子與惠子遊於濠梁之上。莊子曰：「鯈魚出遊從容，是魚之樂也。」惠子曰：「子非魚，安知魚之樂？」此時聖人近，捉魚問：「樂否？」魚無答。轉視二人曰：「言魚樂者為魚，問者為我。煞風景乎？」還魚復水，任其自游。惠子問曰：「魚樂否？」莊子曰：「樂。」惠子曰：「因何？」莊子曰：「悠然自得。」惠子問曰：「卿樂否？」莊子曰：「樂。」惠子問曰：「因何？」莊子曰：「悠然自得。」惠子曰：「吾亦樂。」莊子問曰：「因何？」惠子曰：「卿，悠然自得。」三者皆樂，續遊。
