Poem (2) - Lonesome

He often keeps to himself

Do you know why?

It's because he means more than he implies

Holding back tears

Because he was told that " Real men don't cry"

That's even if he knows how

Pushing away his true feelings to the back of his mind

It's not his fault that's just how men are designed

Women expect more from him

Although I'm not sure why

He's being overworked

But no one cares to notice

Or they just don't care at all

But I notice those depressed life-less eyes

I know when he says he's fine that it's all lies

Internally fighting within himself

He's often lost in thought

Being taunted by himself

Upon whether he should give into the intrusive thoughts

Always drunk and always high

Because he hates his life

But deep down

All the guy wants is someone who'll listen to his cries.

He doesn't ask for much and never complains

You may wonder why

It's because complaining and asking for things is being a bitch in his eyes
