I went to the Thank You store and Bensimon and Phillip were figuring out how to respond to a person named sekai boi.
Dear Thank U Store,
I always enjoyed the sight of the Thank U Store. A small, unpresuming shop with only a few lines of items, a beverage shelf and another for cooked food such as rice balls and lunch boxes. It almost evokes nostalgic vibes. But when I look closer I am surprised, the snacks were all limited seasonal picks from all around the world, like a newly opened snacks box. The rice balls and lunch boxes were still warm, and I could feel the warmth of the hands of the person who made them. It’s a shop with a brilliant concept executed. At first I thought it would be as shabby as a soup kitchen since things are free (how can it be good?), but I end up feeling like a guest on the lounge for the first class passengers.
I don’t know if I should be seeking my solace here. I don’t have economic problems. Or rather my problems or other kind of economic. I am too popular with girls. So much that they give me the nickname sekai boi, meaning the boy who has seen the world. But why should i be punished beceuase i am so good at spotting the next victim of romance?
Bensimon looked at the letter one last time, before tearing it to pieces, and we continued playing on our phones.
"isn't it strange that that the new socialist order both promotes in vitro fertilization and public housing?" I asked, while watching youtube.
"how did you suddenly come across something like that?"Bensimon asked. "The things that cross your brain are strange.,"
"Not at all. it seems to be what our government is promoting. technological advances in one way to encourage births at older ages for women, while at the same time building more public housing."
"Silly they are not aimed at the same group of people."
"But those leftoever women and leftoever men are precisely the corresponding groups who need in vitro fertilization and public housing respectively?" Bauhinia said.
"Yes, but in reality they seldom marry each other."
"Smarty head. It's like there's enough food for everything, but it never quite works out huh."
"Yes Einstein." Bensimon said lightly.
