I feel his feverish heat radiating

Through my sickly delicate skin,

Begging to touch again.

2 weeks had passed since we were connected

On a level as rooted as our affections for one-another.

Back-to-back, rear-to-rear,

Shivering and sweating,

Open and endless blackness

In a big-mouthed apartment complex.

The unwashed sheets stir our bed of sickness.

The sensation of dry lips

Meets my still-aching back.

I leisurely flip myself to meet

Eye-to-eye, nose-to-nose, lips-to-lips.

Our separation of illness becomes one.

Shakey hands gently knead my agonizing muscles.

I groan as pain and pleasure

Recklessly crash into each other…

And careful not to hurt me,

He remains gentle in his intimacy.

I reach around with gnawing shoulders

Wincing as my brittle nails

Dig into his fiery back.

His swelter melts away

The frost on my body.

Lighting a fire and

Burning away the germs that
