I see the hurt in her eyes

She has eye bags from the last time she cried

She plays it off like she's okay

But I notice the pain in her eyes

She doesn't know that I know 

Even though she doesn't give me the time of day

I still notice and care 

My heart feels her pain 

 I'd do anything to take her pain away 

This is all because I'm in love with her

She doesn't love me though

Because I see the way she looks at him

She's in love with him

And it pains my heart that my love will never be requited 

I can't help being selfish

But think she'd be better off with me
