一座緊鄰在亞洲大陸的邊陲小島，她曾經被喚作琉求、高砂、大員，還有我們熟悉的「Ilha Formosa」，島上的人們來來去去，豐富了這座島嶼的人文和歷史，發展出多元的文化。

在距今125年前，那是個帝國主義興盛的時代。這個彈丸之地被迫與近代文明產生激烈的碰撞，像是一塊浮木，在大海中載浮載沉。

2020年，一名大學生為了救人而犧牲自己，不知何故穿越到了這個年代的台灣。他面對的是一連串看似熟悉卻又陌生的事物，還有即將到來的1895年，那個徹底改變台灣島民命運的轉捩點。
