Under the cold evening sky

A flower, red as blood, has appeared.

She stands among the envious greens

But with her crimson waves. 

She baths in the glorious light

Inviting those into her presence.

Alluring, it’s only what’s on the outside.

Menace, is what’s true on the inside.

Hiding behind her untainted beauty

Is a thorn waiting to strike.
