Two Demons546Please respect copyright.PENANAIdErRQtJ6o
Quiet. All that stood were two demons, dark auras following around them. Their sight was unpleasant and frightening, just way they stood said not to mess with them. Their bodies were blood red and grotesque, upon there head were two horns each similar to those of a goat; one from hell that is. Bloodshot eyes searched, not a sound but their movement and the heavy snow. The snow covered town in a white blanket, seeming like the only pure thing left in this world, yet it was Summer here; the misbalance of the gem affected weather in certain places too yet the snow landed lightly. Rippling the intimidating silence was a long blade, moving as quickly as the wind as it slashed down on one of the demons arm as it let out a shrilling screech, its blood dripping out, a murky green colour. Turning around stood a tall man holding the blood covered blade. He was dressed head to toe in dark clothes as if he were merely a shadow amongst the bare town. As he looked up his deep blue eyes shone as he stared at the monsters a smirk appearing on his face. The demons yelled and rushed towards him, yet before their eyes he seemingly vanished as his blade drew straight through the demon before it left him again as he was a heap on the floor. The man smirked again from behind him as he yelled with a husky voice546Please respect copyright.PENANAo5k3DrNMDA
"One down, one to go. You're up.." he turned his head towards the beast as it lunged at him while he vanished again leaving the creature alone. Light footsteps could be heard on the snow covered floor as a girl walked out two blades one in each hand. She seemed innocent at first glance; fairly small with grey and pale skin. However her stance and focused composure made her look prepared and ready to battle. Staring down the beast he slowly approached her; her eyes glowing with focus as a black aura engulfed her blades swirling around them and her. With one step she dashed at the creature blades ready in hand as she slashed him to pieces with carful precious as if the blades danced on their own. With one final slice the creature let out an unearthly groan as it collapsed in front of her. Her misty breath came out as she wiped the blood off her face as she looked down at it feeling her chest fill with triumph as she lowered her blades letting them vanish into thin air. She turned as she looked into nothing546Please respect copyright.PENANAupcpZLEYuZ
"Minataz.." she whispered coldly into the air "Interesting powers you have there, would be good to work with you."
He appeared again in front of her as he nodded "Same for you, Irene," he paused "Partner". Her eyes slowly returned to their dark colour as she turned.
"Let's go" she said as stared out into the cold land ahead and saw the empty and once full town. She thought back imaging what it was like to have a full town again, before the war, before the bloodshed, before her duty was told.
Minataz watched her wondering about her past becoming more curious as he walked up to her reaching out his hand towards hers as he nodded. She looked up at him as she held on. Wind slowly formed around them blowing rapidly as his eyes focused, a smile slowly forming.
"Hold on tight" he says chuckling a bit as he jumped as they moved high into the sky slowly floating over the tops of the broken roofs. "We appear to be travelling at normal speed to us, but to everyone else we are as fast as the wind" he spoke softly almost as if it was in time with the wind. The cold air rushed past them both as the landscape unfolded beneath them, a dark and dreaded place. Towns that were once full of life and laughter were turned into wastelands of burnt buildings and battlegrounds. While the demons had come to this world, they couldn't be seen by the humans, only the Protectors. All of this death was caused by the war.
Yelling. Blood. Crying. All that could be heard. The elements had attacked each other and their own kind. Magic once used for peaceful purposes turned back to their dark roots, and were able to spill blood. This battle has lasted for 6 years, many do not remain. The only kind that are left are the Protectors, Outcasts and the devoted mages to their elements. The only elements that mix are the ones part of the Protectors and Outcasts, it is rare for the other mages to try and team. Soon anyone defying their element was killed, as well as their families, elements attacked each other because of the Outcasts. Many thought there were after information of each other. Common sense had disappeared and all that was left, was a bloodbath. Only some were still sane Only some understood nothing. Of why everything was like this. Why the stone must be protected.
Moonlight streamed into the almost empty cabin. The cabin was well built out of strong wood. Decorated with carpets and old pictures, it seems it would've been inhabited a while ago, possibly before the chaos. Inside was a small light accompanied with a large wooden tables covered with papers and sheets and maps. As well as that, was another smaller table, fitting enough to eat from, a few wooden chairs, a large couch as well as 3 other rooms connecting to the room where the two stood staring down at the papers.
"So you believe they are after the elemental stones?" Minataz said with an intrigued look as he stared down at the maps seeing the points marked on it, most likely to where the stones would be.
Irene nodded slowly. "As you most likely know, no mage is able to harness the power of the Ark Stone. But if someone were to be able to use all of the elements, by using all the stones, if they had enough power, they could control the stone. If the demons were to do this, they would take control of the universe." she spoke slowly and carefully as if the words had been imprinted in her mind, her eyes full of wisdom and knowledge. Even though it had no proof just her look was convincing.546Please respect copyright.PENANAbslhhtfRQW
"What does that mean then?" he said eyebrows raised as he scanned the mass of papers across the table. Obviously she had spent a long time researching, possibly months. He turned and looked into her dark eyes again as he then realised his own answer as a smile was plastered on her face.
"We have to get to them first, even if they don't have one they won't be able to harness the power." she said confidently as she looked up at him
Smiling he rubbed his hands together "Good. So where do we go first?"
She turned with her arms crossed a small smile on her face "Well the closet stone appears to be your element; the Wind stone."546Please respect copyright.PENANAIwfrbwS2pn
