I reached the venue driving the restaurant's delivery vehicle. I got the food delivered and hoped they would love it since probably the members would be eating this too. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world that i got the chance to prepare food for my once favourite boy band.
It was still 11 am in the morning and the concert was set to start at 12. So I decided to take a look around the backstage, hoping I might get lucky and see a member. I had the access to the backstage because I was basically a temporary staff member for today. They gave me an id card with 'FOOD CREW' printed on it.
I saw some of their VIP fans come in early to the backstage to get pictures with their posters. I tried getting some too, but failed because of them rush. I lost hope soon of meeting a member and was about to go to my seat, until I bumped into this very tall blue haired guy.
I looked up and he looked down at me. Our eyes met, and time froze for me there. Did I seriously just bumped into THE CHOI YEONJUN right now? My luck is favouring me today.
'im sorry I didn't see you coming ' he apologised bowing a little with his head. I was at loss of words and just stared at him like a lunatic.
'excuse me? Are you okay?' he asked in his deep English accent.
'oh yes totally ' i said in a dreamy voice. 'i mean I'm sorry I didn't see you either.' I quickly apologized, coming back from my dream land.
'ah you're from the food crew?' he looked at my id card. 'thankyou for your hardwork.' he spoke with a smile, and i realised why I was obsessed with him back then. These guys, are just way too perfect. I mean you're telling me, they're tall, rich, polite, and handsome all at once. It's just very unfair.
'its no big deal. Please enjoy your food.' i politely replied.
'sure...have a great day.' he said and walked past me, looking ever so cool in his blue jeans and black zipped hoodie.
'you too.' i was saying, but he was gone.
I giggled like an idiot on this very short encounter which he will most likely forget, but I was gonna remember it for the rest of my life. I thanked God and happily headed to my seat.
The concert began, and i had loads of fun. I was myself surprised at how well I remember the song lyrics even after all these years. Wish I would have remembered my textbooks like that.
During the love sight performance, TXT decided to go through each rows and balconies. The fangirls went crazy and everyone tries their best to grab this once in a lifetime opportunity to shake hands with their idols.
When they came to our block, I didn't really hard to get in the first line to shake hands, but I saw yeonjun look at me for a second, or atleast so i think, abns his lips somewhat formed a smile? I got flustered, my heart about to pound but then I told myself he just saw a known face and since he's a nice person he smiles, nothing special going on here ladies.
But then he came deeper in our block and shook hands with everyone (it was the vip block so there were hardly 30 of us).
We shook hands and our eyes met again, and while that he sang the lyrics of the song:
"You looked at me, like the sun, like destiny
That one person on that beautiful day."
Time stopped for me again, and. My heart skipped a bit. It was better than the dupatta moment on om shanti om. I shook hands with the guy who used to be my dream guy.
All of my good deeds are paying off today.
My euphoria didn't last long as he had to go just second later, but one thing's for sure, I have a solid ass story to brag about in my cousins group chat now. They'll go wild. Haha
After the concert, I was about to hop on my van, when a staff member approached me.
'um excuse me miss, are you from the Haim's who made the food delivery today?' he asked in a serious tone, and my heart sank.
'yes' I replied inb a low voice.
' i need you to come with me.'
'do they have complaints about the food. Did I put in too much salt? Did i overcook the noodles?' i started to doubt myself in my head.
I followed him through the corridor and we went in something that looked like a dressing room. He signalled to go in and then wenmt away. I nervously walked in, and my jaw dropped.
It was them, TXT! Eating the food we prepared.
'oh hey it's you' yeonjun said waving to me.
The other members looked at me.
'do you know her?' beomgyu asked.
'we bumped into each other a while ago.' he explained and the others nodded.
'do you guys have any complaints regarding the food. I apologise in advance, I usually don't mess up I swear...' I was saying when yeonjun shut me.
'oh no the food is very good. We actually wanted to thank you for the food thats why we called you in here.' he explained while laughing.
I couldn't believe it. This is definitely a new milestone of my career. My bias praised my cooking.
'to be more specific yeonjun hyung called you to ask the recipe of the broth' taehyun states.
'well yes...you see the soup tasted really fresh after hours, i wonder how.'
'im sorry but we don't disclose our recipes to people.' i couldn't believe what I just said. Am I stupid. We don't tell our recipes to people because they might copy us and try to beat us, but this was yeonjun, he won't try to sabotage our restaurant. He's already making millions!
