在魔法與現代融合的世界，這一百年裏四周歌舞昇平，人類卻在安逸中漸漸喪失危機意識。


妖魔開始頻繁攻入人類領地，已有一個世紀未曾發生大規模戰爭的人類世界遭遇前所未有的危機，近代缺乏經驗的戰鬥法師無法阻擋洶湧而至的妖魔。


在香城，牡修是一名平凡卻帶點好運與努力的學生。機緣巧合下，他把握住了變強的機會，在各個勢力裏左右逢源，盡力挽救更多生命，並逐漸蛻變成為人類最強的法師。


然而，人類最大的敵人卻從來不是妖魔。相反，人類需要妖魔的黑暗來襯托文明的光芒。比起被妖魔進攻，他們更害怕沒有敵人來讓他們團結。文明需要一個恆久的目標來維繫，失去妖魔的威脅，將是魔法聖殿崩塌之時。


正義與魔法；謊言與戰爭。


當一切真相大白後，牡修的選擇會是什麼呢？
