"Primm!, could you come down real quick hun?" I was in the middle of a sketch when i heard ambrosia calling me down "coming!, be down in a minute" ambrosia has been taking care of me since i was just an infant. I never knew who my mother and father were, ambrosia told me that they died shortly after i was born and that she found me swaddled in a blanket under a tree. She's been caring for me ever since. I walked down the stairs struggling to put on my shoes, probably wasn't the best idea to try and do that but i didn't want to make ambrosia wait any longer. "What do you need me for ambrosia?" Walking up to the counter where she was standing behind, Ambrosia worked as a baker in this town and she was amazing at it. Everytime you either walk by or walk into the bakery all you can smell is just the wonderful smell of bread, cakes, cookies and muffins. Anyone who tastes her baking is always dying for more and i don't blame them. "I was wondering if you could do me a favor and walk to the bar and give this order of Snickerdoodle muffins to Cage? Ambrosia works day and night to always fill her orders in time, I don't think I've ever seen her not complete an order. So whenever she needs help with something I'm always more than willing " Of course! I wouldn't want these to not be delivered, they smell to good to go to waste!" Ambrosia let out a small laugh "I'm sure they won't, Cage eats food faster than a starving dog" We giggle for a second then Ambrosia helped me wrap up the muffins and sent me on my way out as I waved her goodbye "I'll be quick!" I shouted to her "haha, I know you will baby bird. Be safe" you would think that baby bird is a strange nickname but when you have wings its not so strange of a nickname. I've really never been able to use my wings properly. The most I can do is glide and I can hover with them if I jump off something high. Ambrosia tells me never to fly unless absolutely necessary, she also recommends when I do make deliveries to put a cloak on to cover them. She's told me this ever since i was able to talk and to be honest I don't know why she doesn't want me flying but by the tone of her voice when she tells me I know she's serious. The village we live in is as nice and quaint as they come. The people are kind and polite, there's really barely any conflict besides the librarian and the kids that like to ding-dong ditch him. I remember one time he caught them and chased them away with a spray bottle he uses for his flowers, I slightly laugh at the memory "Hey Primm!" I hear my name being called behind me and when I turned around i saw Marina. Marina and I have been best friend's since we were little. We've done almost everything together good and bad. I've had to bust her out of trouble so many times now I've lost count but she's never took that for granted "Hey Marina! how's your day been so far?" I walked up to her to close the distance "My days been pretty uneventful so far it's just been really chill" She had noticed i was holding the muffins "Oh my god Primm those smell amazing! I'm guessing you're making a delivery for Ambrosia?" I adjusted the muffins in my arms "Yeah she's been pretty busy with orders lately so she asked if I would deliver these to Cage at the bar". "Damn she really can never catch a break with those orders huh?" Marina laughs a bit as I chime in "yeah she's been so busy lately, I'll talk to you later Marina, I've got to finish this delivery." Marina nods her head and fixes her hair "No worries, I'll stop by later. See you Primm!" She walks off waving goodbye and I reciprocate and wave back turning around and heading towards the bar. The bar was probably the only loudest thing about this village, it seemed like only good arua's in there. No one really ever has been negative in there or in the village for that fact. Just walking up to the bar's walk way i could already hear the music and laughter from within. I had made it to the door and pushed it open to head inside, The immediate smell of Sandlewood and pine hit my nose with the slight smell of food from the kitchen in the back. I walked up to the bar counter and sat on the stool. While waiting for Cage to come out from the back I noticed the guy sitting next to me, I don't know why but he looked so familiar to me like I've seen him multiple times before. He had short ginger hair with streaks of grey in it that matched his beard-stash, his eyes were a dull greyish green with brown. The one thing i did notice was the scaring on his neck, it had looked like someone had almost slit is throat open and deep too. "Didn't your mom teach you it's rude to stare?" he had said in a stern deep tone of voice. I had snapped out of the staring and I felt embarrassed "I'm so sorry sir I didn't mean too I, I was just-" he chuckled slightly "It's alright don't worry I'm just yankin' ya" he had took a swig of his drink and I let out probably the biggest sigh of relief. "Names Rubin, Rubin Blackheart" He held out his hand for me to shake and I politely did " Nice to meet you Rubin, My names Primm. Primm Wood" for some reason when my name left my mouth he looked a bit puzzled and shocked then he spoke "Primm-" "There's my favorite delivery gal! I see you brought the muffins i ordered" Rubin was cut off by Cage walking in. "yeah! I've got them right here" I lifted up the muffins and placed them on the counter in front of Cage "They look absolutely delicious! Let me go get the payment I'll be right back" Cage had walked off into the back again so I turned back to Rubin and he had seemed to have a normal expression again "So I know this is going to sound reallyy, really weird cause we just met but I feel like I've met you before" when I had said that he had little to no expression this time which was odd because of the reaction he had to my name. "I get that a lot kid, I tend to look like a lot of people" he said turning back to the counter. When I had said my name he looked like he'd just seen a ghost, like that he knew me and I feel like he does. I just sat there puzzled then Cage came back out with the money "here you are Primm, that should be all" Cage had handed me the money then took the muffins and placed them on the counter behind him. "Hey Primm by the way have you been testing out flying recently with those wings of yours?" Cage asked, I was so lost in thought about Rubin's actions I almost didn't answer "Maybe, Ambrosia would hate the idea though. She's always so uptight about me flying so I never do" Cage chuckled a bit "That doesn't mean she needs to know" I giggled and shook my head. "If she found out I was flying without her knowing she'd go ballistic but it is tempting". "So you can fly? If you don't mind me asking, what do your wings look like?" I had looked at Rubin when he said this and I was a little confused on why he asked such a obvious question. "Well I mean they look like how wings would? Unless you mean what the color they are, then here" I had untied the string that was holding my cloak together letting it slip right off and onto the floor reviling my wings. "well here they are! If I'm being honest I don't really know how to use them. I've been trying to properly fly with them ever since I was little but I never got the hang of it" I turned my gaze to Rubin and he looked lost in thought, and I mean really lost in thought but not in they way you'd think. "Hey Primm do you think I could st-" just as Rubin was going to speak there was a loud banging at the bar door. It spooked everyone no doubt. The whole bar fell quiet, the music stopped and followed the laughter with it, the bar had a tense and anxious aura. I had quickly put back on my cloak this time putting my hood up and sat in the stool facing my back to the door. Someone had opened the door for whoever it was, Their footsteps were heavy and dense. From what I heard it sounded like they were wearing armor, strong armor at that. The foot steps were getting closer and my heart rate has getting faster, my throat felt tight and it was hard to breathe. I felt someone put there hand on my shoulder and whisper "whatever you do don't take this cloak off. Do not let him see your wings". "Rubin-" I stopped talking when I heard the stranger sit in the stool next to me. I was curious to see who this stranger was and why the whole bar was to focused to even continue talking, so I turned my head just enough where I could see them. The armor was a pitch black with a shiny glow of purple, if I'm being honest it was kind of pretty. My eyes had made its way up to their face, he had bleach blonde hair that almost looked completely white. His eyes were red, blood red. His voice was low toned and slick almost raspy but not to much "Yeah it has". Rubin's voice sounded agitated almost like whoever this person was he didn't end them on good terms "Took me a while to find you but then again you've always been good at keeping yourself on low profile" I had looked over at Rubin and he didn't look fazed by anything he was saying but his guard was up "I like to keep it that way, Viper". Rubin had took a swig of the drink he was holding after he had said that. This dudes name was Viper? Like he wasn't already menacing enough "Listen I'm not the one for conversation so I'm going to cut to the point. I know, found out a couple years back and I've been looking for you ever since, so why not just tell me where it is and this can all go over smoothly. Don't make me beat it out of you". My heart had dropped when he said that. Was he serious? What was going to happen? What are they talking about? "Go to Hell Viper" Just as Rubin had said that I felt him grab my arm and pull me towards him. As he did that he pulled out a bottle from his pocket and threw it at the ground causing it to shatter. When it shattered a big cloud of smoke filled the bar blinding everyone, Rubin had me running with him out the door. We kept running till we reached. Ambrosias house? How did he know where it was? Who was this guy and what information does he know that's making that Viper guy willing to beat him for it? I had so many questions running threw my head I hadn't realized were inside. "Hi welcome to Ambrosias Baked Goods how may I-" just as Ambrosia turned around and saw us she stopped mid sentence and her expression turned to shock. The plate she was holding fell and shattered on the floor in front of her "Rubin?-"
