The forest was hushed and still, a woman danced through the moonlit night. With her, she brought a laugh that broke silence. Her long silver curls flowed like silk in the gentle breeze. The trees swayed in the wind, their branches creating a haunting melody of creaks and cracks. An anonymous figure hidden by the depths of leaves and arms of the trees, stalked the shadows around her. Dressed in black clothes, tightly fitted shirt and pants, the man hid between the rays of moonlight. His garments stuck unusually closely to his cool pale skin. His bare feet splintered by the rough ground as he crept forward. His dark eyes searching for a sign of prey. His last kill had gotten away and the rage fueled his ambition to find a replacement . He could hear the soft giggles of his new fixation everywhere yet nowhere at all. She was out there, close, perhaps far but somewhere in the darkness. Waiting for him…and he would find her.

The creature frantically whipped his head around, searching for the source of the echoing siren. Her voice wrapped around his mind like arms strangling the necks of their victims. Eventually, the sharp piercing eyes from within the forest locked onto its objective, his concentration absolute as he focused on the task at hand. The mysterious man was tall and slender, his body lithe and athletic which is why the woman was unaware of her nearing death. His long limbs moved with a fluid grace, like a trained assassin.He was hungry, so very hungry. His thirst was growing stronger with each passing moment, his heart hammering against his rib cage begging to break free. The desperation to quench his thirst for her blood tore his body apart minute by minute. The urgency of his movements caused him to become sloppy as he raced through the thick trees. He could feel her getting closer, his senses sharpening as her scent grew powerful. The noise of his movements caused the woman to be alert, her eyes glancing from each side of her in search of the sound. “Who’s there?”, she says, her soft melodic voice wavered in fear. He quickly bent down amongst the leaves a few feet away from her, preparing for the feast uneasy over the thought of being spotted. His silhouette crawled with fluid grace, his hands grasping roughly at the branches that lie beneath him. He had a speed unlike any other, a supernatural ease, as he brushed past thick rose bushes, the thorns scratching at his skin. Suddenly, the forest went quiet, his steps were cautious and silent, his ears sharp as he listened for any sounds of her footsteps.

Her quick breaths, her heartbeat, filled the night air, calling to him. He slithered forward with silent strides, drawing closer and closer. His shaded figure was almost upon her when his foot snapped onto the chest of a wooden bough. Her hair flowed behind her in the wind, her eyes zeroing in on where he hid. In a millisecond her expression changed, a flash of fear in her bright moonlit orbs. Her eyes sparkled greatly, widening in trepidation as she took off into the forest. Her warm golden brown skin, a sharp contrast compared to her silver locks, made her stand out among the dark shadows of the forest. He had her where he wanted her, a small clearing in the woods. The perfect place for him to attack. No one would hear her screaming and pleading as he devoured her. His eyes glowed hungrily in the darkness, his pristine fangs gleaming menacingly. He approached her slowly, his steps silent and unnerving filling the air with supernatural dread. “Well, well, look what we have here,” he said, his deep and sultry voice dripping with seductive peril. He reached out, running his clawed hand down her thin arm, his touch cold and harsh as he caressed her skin. “All alone…and so vulnerable. Just how I like it.” Tears filled her eyes as she realized she’d been caught. Her lips trembled as she begged for mercy, but he simply grinned. “Why so serious, my dear?” he said, his voice laced in sarcasm and a mocking smile on his lips. “I just want to have a little fun..” He looked into her eyes, his own burning with a dark inhuman light. “Let’s play a little game, shall we?” he muttered leaning down into her ear, a twisted grin playing across his lips.
“I don’t want to play a game with a monster!”. “It’s just a little game to entertain myself, you see.” He added, his voice low as he brought his sharp fangs closer to her neck. He could feel her trying to push him away, her small hands clawing at his arms and her legs kicking at his knees. nonetheless, his strength overpowered her. “Let me go!” she cried out in frustration. “Please just let me go!” He chuckled in her ear, his cheek resting against hers as she struggled to break free. “Why ask? Why not just try to escape instead? The pain that appeared on her face as he gripped her arms tight, excited him, his heart racing alongside hers. She could barely breathe now, terror rising in her chest. She choked out a sob as she attempted to cry out one final time. Alas, his hand over her mouth silenced her once and for all.
