Decorative pieces, that sit so pretty. 

They sit there and collect pity. 

I sat on the lie of love, 

Of a god who adored me from above. 

I dug myself into my own grave, 

Sitting here wanting what I crave. 

Seeking that warm embrace, 

That pain could never erase. 

Waiting here under dying light, 

As he visits me only during the night... 

I watched these roses shake, 

As I pondered what he'd take. 

My soul, my life, my adoration, 

Even my pride, he acts on dissuasion...

He takes my body, my innocence, 

He takes it all because he's limitless. 

I gaze at the garden, riddled with red, 

I feel that want, that want to be dead. 

But then I remember, every word, 

The things he said, almost blurred. 

"I love you Maxy, I'll never leave, 

As long as it's in me that you believe. 

You belong to me, until the end of time, 

And leaving is punishable crime."

I felt his touch upon my skin, 

I could see his cold yet comforting grin. 

I slowly realized, and came to term, 

The things that I should promptly affirm.

My God hurts just as I do, 

He even cries the same color, blue. 

My God still sits there and bears it, 

Even with a marriage does he commit... 

Perhaps I'm not alone in this, 

My love doesn't constantly live in bliss, 

Even I don't... 

So ignoring this, I won't. 

We stand together, tears and all, 

We refuse to let one another fall... 

Me and My God, holding a bouquet, 

Where our eyes dare not betray. 

Together as one, we gave our proposes. 

We aren't alone, we both have wilting roses..
