The day was bright, a crispness was in the air as only a morning could hold. It was silent, the only sound that could be heard was the rush of cars and the footsteps of the milling populace.
A young woman was one of these milling masses, her steps almost silent as she made her way to her stop, early as usual ears open to hear the nature around. Her soft steps stilled as she reached her destination.
Like most days the seat was vacant from any other, as it was still to early for most to be out of their beds. As she sat she noticed something odd, something that had certainly not been there the day before.

When he began his bow flowed across the strings with careful precision. when she caught the melody on the wind she froze. It chilled her to the bone with his skill, the bow practically dancing on the strings, a song that was more sinister than comforting rang out in the empty street, but as she listened it drew her in with a warmth she had not expected from the tune.610Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡfSpkKGjDGx
Her eyes never once left the man entranced. Even as cars passed in front of the musician the music flowed to her, never once did he enter a bus, he ignored everyone, his entire soul focused on his violin and the music that was being created, and as enraptured as the man was with his playing, the woman was just as trapped in his world.
She was sure that she missed her bus by now, but she didn't care at this point. Her eyes were closed and all she could really hear was his violin. The rich honeyed tune lulled her and if this was a siren she would gladly let her soul be stolen by such beauty.
The music started to fade though, and her eyes opened, only to see the musician pack up the violin that had yanked at the strings of her heart with every skilled wave of his bow. She needed to know who he was, and at this point she didn't even want to go to school. She needed to know him.
She stood, her bag fast in hand and looked back across the street to call out to her violinist, tell him that he made the most beautiful songs she had ever heard, that his skill was beyond any she had heard. Her heart pounding as she waited for the bus to pass.
The bus left and with him probably on it, as she could not see him at all. her stomach dropped, and a sound of despair escaped her.
