Emmaunels eyes were red as the vein in his forehead bulged as his jaw tensed.
"Emmanuel..." Esters breathing was ragged as she attempted to reach out to him, placing her hand on his forearm. She flinched as he pulled her arm away.
"Don't you bloody touch me." He sneered. " You're one of them aren't you." He laughed a bitter laugh as he shook his head, licking his still quivering lips. "You come here and act as if you wanna console me and then you go behind my back to speak ill of me and my mom! Right?! YOU'RE ONE OF THEM AREN'T YOU. HOW STUPID COULD I HAVE BEEN. THAT'S THE BLOODY REASON YOU DIDN'T WANNA BE MY GIRL. BECAUSE I WAS A PROSTITUTES SON. RIGHT?!"
Ester shook her head vigorously placing her hands on her racing heart. "That's not true" she whispered with widened eyes.
"WELL YOU CAN GO... GO AND TELL YOUR GOSSIP BUDDIES. THAT I DONT GIVE A FUCK WHAT THEY THINK ABOUT ME. THEY CAN BURN IN HELL FOR ALL I CARE." His head was aching as he found it hard to breath. A slow ache rising in his chest. But he paid it no heed
"Emmanuel" tears were now streaming down her face as she put her hands together in front of her. Pleading with him "Emmaunel. You..." She wiped away the snot that ran down her face "You n...need to listen to me. Please. I didn't mean it li..."
"SHUT UP" Esther took a step backwards at his tone " SHUT THE FUCK UP" Emmanuel yelled he felt a searing pain in his chest he layed a hand on it and rubbed slowly taking a slow gulp of air for he couldn't seem to catch his breath. He turned his back to her as he felt his chest tighten. He inhaled a deep breeth of air for he felt as if a brick had been placed on his chest.
"Emmanuel you have to listen to me please..." He tried inhaling again but it was becoming harder. Another searing pain shot through him "I... I really didn't mean to hurt you..." He felt his lungs swell as they narrowed. " You know what I've been going through my mom my siblings ... " He sqeuuzed his eyes as another flash of pain shot through him, as if someone was stabbing him with a double-edged sword draining the life out of him "That's not even an excuse. I know" Esther sniffed and wipe her eyes as she continued her blabber "I'm so so s-sorry to have said those things" Emmaunel slowly opened his eyes and looked down at his fingers that had turned blue. He gasped trying to gather as much of oxygen as he could. His hand shot up to his head rubbing gently as a headache set in. He tried steadying his breath but every breath he took caused the pain to grow worse. Stars danced in his vision as he felt his body sway "Esters head shot up to look at him as she heard his wheezing, her brow scrunched up "Emmanuel?" A groan left him as he collapsed "EMMANUEL" Esther yelled, her eyes wide as they landed on Emmaunel sprawled on the floor. She crouched down to him placing her hand on either side of his face.She gasped as she saw his blue lips and his pale face. His breath was ragged and sounded like a whizzing sound as if he was finding it too hard to breath. "Emmaunel!" She cried " What's wrong with you!!"
He reached out to her and she leaned in closer listening to him (something she realised she should have done earlier) "My pump. Cupboard" his voice was raspy as he slurred finding it hard to speak
She didn't understand for his words were incoherent She shook her head at him "Tell me Emmaunel what's wrong.?" She cried

His words broke up and all he could say were stuttering sounds. He felt himself sway in and out of consciousness as a severing pain settled on his chest .
Esther nodded her chest vigorously and sprang up,running into the house. Sweat sliding down her forehead "Pump. Pump. Pump." She muttered softly as she ran around the house. Scurrying to the cupboards and rummaging around like a crazy person. She raised every object in the cupboard until her eyes landed on the little machine.

She crouched beside him "Come on. Sit up straight" she said softly as she sniffled. He groaned lightly as he sat up in a sitting position taking the pump from her and inhaling. She let him take a puff every 30 seconds counting to herself in her head. After the tenth puff she turned to look at him. His eyes were closed as he inhaled and exhaled taking steady breath without the inhaler. She was happy that there wasn't a wheezing sound anymore. His lips were still blue and cracked up,instinctively she reached out and placed her finger on them running them up and down the cracking skin. He flinched from her and she brought her hands away from him. She involuntarily shivered as she stared into those dangerous blue eyes that she wasn't accustomed to. He stared at her coldly as a frown settled on his face. Then he sighed and rubbed his face with his hands. Esther kept her composure as she saw his blue hands. Guilt overcoming her as she figured Emmanuel was still angry with her.
His eyes opened again but this time they were back to the sky blue colour she was use to. He cleared his throat, silently rejoicing that the pain in them had disappeared "It's late." He turned his gaze away from her, looking into the distance. "You should go and rest"
His face was blank and she couldn't decipher his true emotions. "Y...yeah. youre right " she sniffled and stood up, she looked down at him "ar-are y-you not c-coming inside?" She asked
He shook his head. "No"
She nodded and walked into the house. She glanced behind her and she saw him with his knees against his chest, his arms wrapped around them as he placed his chin on them.
She wished she could know what he was thinking. With a sigh she turned away and closed the door as she walked deeper into the house.
She laid next to her three siblings who slept soundly snuggled up against their blankies.
Oblivious to the fact that Emmanuel had almost died in their beloved sisters arms.
Those same arms wrapped around them, in an affectionate embrace seeking comfort of their own as silent tears streamed down her face.
Emmanuel heard the door shut and his composure snapped. Hot tears streamed down his face, and he squeezed his eyelids shut in the hope his tears would stop. His choppy breathing and watery eyes remained close for quite some time, and he sat there unmoving.
