There are numerous occasions around Britain where a man in an almost neon yellow boiler suit, and an old World War Two gas mask has been sighted near the scenes of discovered corpses of those who had been missing from their homes for at least 3 to 4 weeks, with most of the victims being around the early to mid twenties mark. Police around the country speculate that this gentleman, dubbed 'The Gas Man' is responsible for each and every one of the murders he has been sighted near in the 7 years his or her actions have been recorded by the Metropolitan. However old police reports from the past 60 to 70 years have speculated that The 'Gas Man' has been doing this for so much longer, however with no way to find out their identity, it's impossible to figure out whether this person is the same, or a completely different case altogether, well...that was until records from the late 1800's were discovered in the attic of a 86 year old man who had recently passed away. His son discovered the records which reported on recent disappearances in various counties throughout Britain, all of which described a 'tall, bulky figure in mysterious yellow clothes, with a hound-like object strapped to his face'.Included in the reports was a sketch of what witnesses believed the person to have looked like, it was undoubtedly a boiler suit and gas mask, both of them none existent atthe time of the cases. Descriptions of the cases also states that the figure has been sighted at various scenes where young men and women had been found dead, weeks after they had gone missing, but that's not all. In most cases, the victims had been quartered into pieces, eerily similar to various cases involving the figure today, including the most recent when the body of a 24 man was found in pieces inside a bowling ball dispenser, and behind one of the lanes. So either this is a time traveller, just coincidence with current events, or something even worse.
The Gas Man is mainly sighted in the UK, claiming victims in every county, including Ireland, however various reports have also states similar occurrences in America and Asia, where quartered corpses of missing people had been found, where for most cases they had already started to decay from age. Numerous photographs have shown a mysterious man in yellow standing close by, watching over the crime scene like an angel of death, some cases even show a vary similar man stood within a crowd of people watching the crime scene, but no records have ever been found from people within the crowd. Throughout each of the photos and reports available about the figure seem to state that it has changed slightly every time it's been recorded, almost like it's becoming inhuman. The earliest reports state him like a man in yellow, but as the years went by, the reports started warping into something you'd witness only in nightmares. Surviving reports from the 50's state the once bulky figure was now "unnaturally thin, with its outfit hanging loosely around its body, and the eye holes on the gas mask showing pure darkness, with no visible eyes behind it". More recent reports continue with the figure being inhumanly thin, however witnesses claim that the figure's boiler suit was 'warn down, with the yellow fabric flaking off onto the floor...", no traces of the yellow flaking has ever been found at the crime scenes, or even a trace of the figure in the first place. The reports also states that the figure also seemed "limp, and lifeless as it stood watching the crime scene." And that it's hands had apparently rotted away, but instead had been replaced by slender plates that looked like rusty sheet metal, chipped and damaged with visible signs of mould growing on the edges of the 'hands'.The gas mask, according to the reports is the only thing that seems to be withstanding age well, with the only visible damage been slight flaking around the breathing apparatus and a chip in the right eye's glass cover.

"It was at the crime scene of Roy Phillips, a 27 year old who lived locally in the neighbouring town working in his parents bakery and was a very good friend of my oldest son. He was a nice young lad, and quite the ladies man if I might say so myself.After a night out at the clubs with his mates, including my son, he decided to make his own way home since he only lived a mile or so away, while everyone else got a taxi. It wasn't until my son tried calling him the day after that he realised something was wrong, after receiving no answer the entire day, he finally got a call from Roy's mother, saying that he never returned home. After a police investigation, they finally found the body of Roy...behind a tree literally 60 feet away from the club he'd left. His body was found quartered according to a police statement, I immediately made my way to the crime scene so I could confirm my fears about Roy's death, and that's when I saw it. As I stood with a crowd of people behind the crime scene barrier, I saw at the corner of my eye, hidden between the trees over the road a bright yellow boiler suit, with an old gas mask peaking past the trunk of one of the trees. It's right arm was hanging limp along the side of the tree, with stains of blood visible along its sleeve. The figure just stared at the crowd of people and the crime scene, before returning a look to me. I felt the fear and horror of the figure shoot through my back like ice, before it returned back behind the trees. I tried informing the police of the figure, but nothing was found at all, not even a trace of someone being there in the first place. Upon my return home, I found my gate still open, knowing I shut it when I left, I was cautious as a progressed to the door. There on my wooden door, I was deep scratch marks, like a desperate wolf had tried to scratch through it. I left and headed straight for the police station, where I was informed about the infamous 'Gas Man'. I never returned home after that, I sold the house and moved away to Cornwall with my son. Since then we've not had any disturbance from the 'Gas Man', and I just hope that I never will again..."

"I remember that thing disturbingly clearly. I remember one night after a long days work at the office, there was an odd figure stood by the front door of my workplace, peering in. The door was a large glass door so I got a good look at what he was wearing, it looked like an old yellow boiler suit of sorts, with something at looked like a gas mask covering it's face. For a sec, I had a feeling it was a robber preparing to break in, just checking to see if everyone left, but there was something...inhuman about it. I mean, it looked a bit like man, about 6 foot tall I'd say, but ridiculously skinny for his size. He also appeared to have no hands, but instead I saw 2 like...blade type things in place of hands. Before I went to call the police, I took my phone out to take a picture of it in case the police needed one, but my stupid panicking almost got me killed when I forgot to deactivate the flash on my camera phone. The figure darted it's head towards me immediately after I shot the picture. Then I shoved my phone back into my pocket and sprinted back to my office to call the police, I could hear thumping sounds in my stairs, but they weren't in any particular order, like it sounds like when someone goes up and down stairs, so I had no idea how far the man was behind me. After calling the police, I removed the inspection cover from the floor and crawled under the floor, trying to keep my breathing quiet as I heard the man walk around the floor. I then heard it on the cover I'd opened seconds earlier, I again took my phone out and started to record in the direction the cover was. At the time, camera phones were still pretty crap quality but it was worth a shot to try and catch what this thing was. The next thing I knew, the hatch was thrown open, and the figures head was thrown down the hole in the floor, it's masked face looking around. Considering how dark it was, I was just praying that it wouldn't see me, my breathing had gotten faster, but I fought hard to keep it quiet. The figure then removed itself from the hole and closed it again, where I faintly heard the sound of police sirens swarming outside. When the police let me out, they found no trace of any breaking in, the door was even locked. I showed them the picture and video of the figure, the police that saw it seemed baffled by the picture and video, they told me that the figure had been sighted at numerous murders throughout Britain, but had no proper explanation for it. I eventually quit my job there and got into university, studying history in the hope of eventually becoming a teacher. As as you can see, I eventually got there now."

"I saw that figure again last night on the way back from the store. It's now the 5th time I've seen it in 2 weeks. It just stands between the trees watching me as I walk into my apartment and it's really starting to scare me and my husband. The police have looked around for the figure I described, but nothing ever came up, but it was still there. I sometimes look out my window on my top floor apartment and see it looking up to me. I've tried taking photo's of it, but the pictures always turn out too dark to show anything up after developing them and I'm too afraid to go down and take a closer picture or tell him to just leave me alone.
