A tall giant, who goes by the name-Rubeus Hagrid is hollering and ushering us into carriages. I am shoved into a carriage with James and another boy named Remus Lupin. The sound of students chattering and the occasional hoot of an owl fills the air as the carriage begins to move.
I introduce myself to Remus and strike up a conversation with both him and James. Remus Lupin is a kind and intelligent boy, with a calm demeanor that instantly puts me at ease.
As the carriage rumbles along the path leading to Hogwarts, we exchange stories and discuss our expectations for the upcoming school year. James, who seems to be full of mischief and energy, shares his excitement about joining the Quidditch team and causing a bit of trouble. Remus, on the other hand, expresses his eagerness to delve into the magical curriculum and explore the vast library at Hogwarts.
The ride is both thrilling and breathtaking, as I catch glimpses of the enchanting landscape outside. The towering trees, the shimmering lake, and the occasional glimpse of magical creatures all contribute to the magical atmosphere surrounding Hogwarts. Eventually, the carriage comes to a stop, signaling our arrival at the school.
I step out of the carriage and make your way toward the entrance of Hogwarts Castle. The beginning of my magical journey is about to unfold, and the castle's grand doors await our arrival.
Still in a state of awestruck wonder after the brief voyage, the group of first years starts filling into the Great Hall. The enchanted ceiling of the Hall is adorned with countless floating candles, casting a warm and flickering light that dances across the room. It's as if the stars themselves have descended to illuminate the students' path.
I've always longed to attend Hogwarts, even when I barely understood what it was about and that's all that mattered to me.
Suddenly, the chatter dissipates as the doors at the end of the Great Hall swing open, and Professor McGonagall, the Deputy Headmistress, strides in with a long parchment in hand.
''When I call your name , you will come forward and put the hat on to be sorted into a house'-announces the Professor. There's a brown hat on a stool-known as the Sorting Hat.
