　　此地極寒偏僻，入冬之後的夜間幾乎人人都回到家中避寒。白天為村民活動中心的教堂，此時也只剩下座堂神父在。

　　「主，請憐憫我。請讓我行於正確的道路上，不被惡魔的詛咒所影響。主，請憐憫我。請讓我行於正確的道路上，不被惡魔的詛咒所影響。主，請憐憫我——」跪在耶穌受難像前的的禱告的神父重複著這段話。

　　微弱燭光隨著氣流搖曳明滅不定，安靜到神父祈禱聲都有回音的空間中，側耳即可聽見一個緩慢黏膩的生物蠕動聲混雜在神父低沉聲音裡。

　　跪在地上的神父雙手撐地，似乎是在忍耐極大痛苦地手指摳著地板，沒有停止禱告。

　　大門緊閉阻擋風雪的教堂，神父禱告迴盪很長一段時間。
