To the Person I was Before,
If I had told you that things would get hard, I don’t think you would’ve believed me. At the time, you thought all that mattered was growing a couple inches, and making sure you were always there for others. If I had told you that by the age of seven, you had already started to become suicidal, you would’ve never believed me. You were always so bright and cheerful, and you talked to anyone and everyone. Who would’ve believed you could become so broken. If I told you, that in the future you’d been hurt, in so many ways, you would never believe me. You’d never believe me if I said by the age of thirteen, you’d have tried to kill yourself by an overdose. Or if I said that the friends you had worked so hard to make had really just turned their backs on you. You’d never believe if I told you that you’d hate yourself, and your mother. If I told you that your mother had hurt you, both physically and mentally. Whoever I was before is not me now, but I am glad I had the chance to be you. I’m glad you were smiley and goofy to all who met you. I’m so sorry for the way things turned out, but be strong.
