I am trapped in bed

wishing for sleep that doesn’t come

So I escape outside 

To the muttering fields and whispering trees 

And to the soft and swaying night sky

Imparting me with the gifts of the stars

Laying in the field the early morning wind whips softly 

Welcoming me Into together magic of the night

But I lay trapped in my bed

Trapped by the bounds of normality 

By the bounds of society 

So I lay trapped in my bed

Begging for sleep that doesn’t come
