修羅，一種擁有特殊能量的人種，這些特殊能量使得修羅的身體機能比起普通人類更加強大，修羅平時與普通人類沒什麼區別，但在需要使用到特殊能量時，修羅渾身上下會出現紅、綠、藍三種顏色的亮麗紋身。

在出現紋身時，除了手背以外，修羅身上的紋身都是呈現不規則的線條和圖案，而在手背上則會出現動物的紋身，這些動物分別有虎、熊、龍、蛇、鹿、鳳、鯨，七種，因此在很早很早以前的古代，人類曾賦予修羅「七星」的美名，那時候的修羅以及人類相處的十分融洽，雙方各自都有屬於自己的社會部落，也會時常互相幫助。

然而，面對比自己更加強大的族群，人類雖然多半還是抱持著尊敬的心態，但也有少部分的人對修羅感到害怕，甚至會認為修羅就是異類，不應該與他們生活在一起。

隨著時間的推移，討厭修羅的人類數量越來越多，他們不再稱修羅為七星，而是換了另外一個難聽的名字，「變異人」，而修羅只能想辦法隱藏起自己標誌性的紋身，把自己假裝成一個普通人類，才能換取寧靜的生活。
