You said I was pretty

You said you really liked my eyes

"You have really attractive lips"

Was it all lies

Here I am again

Back to the place in which I began

I admit that I liked talking to you

I was happy for once

But now my heart aches

As I look back at our messages

Smiling as tears escape my blood shot eyes

I can't go back and change things

I really wish I could

If I knew things would end up this way

Would things still be the same

I don't regret meeting you

I regret all the memories

I wish they could be taken away

Deleted from my brain

Back in a deep state of depression

Where sadness dwells

As I weep in my sorrows

Another long day ends

As another miserable day begins

I enjoyed your company

I hope you can say the same

Triple texting and dry messages

Things we all know so well

It's an ongoing cycle

Of failed talking stages and relationships

So I've given up on trying

But thank you for bringing joy to my pain
