Atia ran up the steep hill of Camp Half Blood, her ratty black Yale hoodie and dark grey tracksuit pants made her unnoticed at night, while in the day it didn’t cut a “good outfit”. Her loose mousy brown hair whipped around her face in intricate swirls while her blue eye was alert along with her brown one. They were chasing her and if she wanted to live she would have to run faster than the wind that is playing through her hair.

As soon as she came within sight of a large pine tree her foot got caught on a tree root that seemed to be placed exactly in her way. Before she could even breathe the strong paws of the wolf of shadows, as she called it, were pressed against her shoulders and the looming face was positioned right above her face. She had come this far and this was her going to be her extravagant demise. But much to her surprise the wolf lent down and licked a huge, slobbery tongue against Atia’s face.

“MRS O’LEARY!” a voice yelled from up the hill “YOUR GONNA GIVE THE POOR GIRL A HEART ATTACK!” The voice was definitely feminin and they seemed to not have the most control over this huge looming shape.

Atia pushed herself up after the shadow mass of a wolf moved away but did not back away more than a few meters. After the young girl got up she was immediately screaming for the wolf of shadows had lifted her onto its back while trying to focus on not being thrown off she saw a girl with long blond hair sprinting down the hill to them while a boy that looked about sixteen was only steps behind her.

Only moments after he said this Mrs O’Leary stopped dead in her cycle of circles, flinging Atia off and into oblivion. By oblivion I mean a tree.

I do not recommend being flung face first into a tree by a huge mass of shadows, they are stronger than you think. After Atia fell on her back she felt somebody kneel next to her and a strong pair of hands try to help her upright. After a yelp of pain she opened her eyes to see a concerned pair of sea green eyes looking down at her through messy black hair. Next to the boy was a girl with wavy blond hair and stormy gray eyes, only then did she notice the new arrival who was a boy with blond hair and blue eyes.

Then she was lifted off the ground by a strong pair of hands, Atia saw their mouths moving but didn’t hear anything but ringing in her ears. Seemingly out of the blue the ringing in Atia’s ears intensified and she flung herself out of the strong arms of the dark haired boy and flung her hands over her ears to no avail, the boy with blond hair pulled out a medical bag and sat her down carefully and took out a variety of medical tools.
