Keira's POV.
I love painting. It's one of my best talents and I do it mostly when I'm angry, for me, I think no emotion should be wasted, either anger or happiness. And when I want to paint, I go to where I can appreciate nature, so in short, I have a special place I go to when I want to cool off.
You know as a person with little to no friends, I get a little overprotective when it comes to my twin brother. Kyle has always been the one to attract attention, the playful and interesting one that had uncountable friends. While I've always been the boring library assistant that always felt uncomfortable in social gathering and events.
"I knew this is where you'd be" a voice woke me up from my reverie, it was Kyle. "You found this place out again" I grumbled (can't someone have some privacy) "you're not that hard to figure out you know" I smiled. Then the air got awkward (I don't know if it's just me, but it's easier to fight than to settle. When fighting, at that point in time I say whatever comes to my mind but now I'm relaxed, I'm thinking, so I really don't know what to say).
"you know, you really didn't have to throw away my gift" I glared at him "I should probably rephrase that" he took a deep breath, Kyle sure has a problem with apologizing "I may or may not have been a little insensitive at the supermarket" "may not?" I raised an eyebrow. "okay fine, I am sorry for the incident at the supermarket, will you forgive me?" "I will if you were able to find my tickets" "if you wanted me to find it, why did you throw it away?" what a stupid question "cause I was angry dummy" "maybe you should make wiser decisions the next time you're angry" he looked away "what did you say?" I asked squinting my eyes "me? did I say anything?" "that's what I thought".
"well, do you still want to go on the trip? you and me?" "how 'bout we all go?" "seriously? all of us?" Kyle asked surprised "yep, and you don't have to break your promise to Mei".
"That's a good idea, I have been craving for a vacation for a long time after all" dad said slicing some veggies for mom's weekend special (it's quite surprising how she convinced him to do it) "yeah but what about Jaz, where is she?" Mei asked stuffing her face with a bar of chocolate ( not that I'm trying to be mean but it won't be much of a surprise if she complains of a stomach ache later in the day, I mean she has been doing that all day) "that's true, where is Jasmine" I asked.
At a bar in San Justo, Argentina.
A man sat reclined on a rocking chair by the fire sipping a glass of wine with his eyes watching the flames intently. The man who was no other than Santiago Enrique is currently topping the chart of the most dreadful people in Latin America (which is not so far from the truth anyway) and is infact, the boss of the Enrique cartel, and the young master of the Enrique's. "Sir" said a man who walked in with urgency, he even forgot to knock "Enzo?" Santiago raised an eyebrow, as if asking *where are your manners*, but it seemed like Enzo didn't seem to get the message coz the next moment he was all "sir, there's a problem, a big emergency sir. The Markham's have requested an evidence of the transaction that we made to them a few days ago, they believe we've duping them for the past years".
He allowed that to sink in and just when he opened his mouth to continue, Santiago removed his wine glass from his lips and spoke in a bored tone "so?" this seemed to surprise Enzo, "so?" he said with incredulity "well, as a matter of fact, we have been duping them. So you can see that it's a big problem. And in my perspective, someone must have called their attention to the fake receipts that we have been giving them, coz if not, why would they suddenly start suspecting now after about 5 years of business dealings?" "forget about it Enzo, I'll have it taken care of" He said coolly. "But we can't really..." his voice trailed off when he saw a familiar look on his boss's face, it typically meant: we'll just send a few boys to put a few bullets in a few people's head, and that (to Santiago) meant problem solved.
A knock was heard on the door, and the next moment a lady in her early twenties walked with a large smile. Santiago erupted into a throaty laugh "Emily darling, I knew you'd run back home" the lady huffed "well it isn't my fault, everything just seemed to stressful, and the sun there is so hot, you could fry under it " she whined walking further into the room to give Santiago a hug. She was dressed in a red ankle length flowing gown and red heels with a white hijab and a white hand bag (she seemed to be the type that appreciates to - match).
"so how was your week?" he asked with a smile, "it was fine, but very boring though" she said now realizing Enzo's presence. "oh hi PA, I didn't see you there" she greeted with a smile, Enzo forced a smile in return. He wasn't a fan of her personality and seemed to think she was capable of deceit and deception, after all up till this moment he couldn't quite figure out the kind of portion she gave his boss to drink to make him fall for her.
He was about to leave and give them some privacy when he suddenly remembered something and turned to ask "Boss, what should we do about the girl the guys brought in yesterday?" "Nothing, feed her properly and don't hurt her. I'll attend to her personally" he said simply. Then Enzo curtsied and took his leave
Although one question he couldn't get off his mind was: how important is the girl for his boss to want to attend to her personally?
