Nora's eyes enlarged as she stared out the window. Two birds crashed into the window, screeching and flapping aggressively. They landed on the window sill, pecking and swatting at each other. Nora snuck up to the window, her feet stepping ever so carefully on the bed. Slowly, she raised her head to the window, peering at the sill.
The birds returned to the window; one latched onto the decorative lattice while the other hovered, attacking aggressively. Nora shrank as low as she could, watching with renewed excitement. Nora launched herself at the lattice; startled, the birds flew off separately.
