At the turn of the seasons, the slight changes in weather and temperature spur the plants and trees into refreshing their leaves. The beginning of May is the beginning of many things. What better way to start the second season than with bright yellow? The dry season left the hills parched brown, but the rains at the start of May usher in the green with vibrant colour. Dotted across the hills and valleys, bright yellow flowers are in bloom on large and small trees alike. Nothing else to see here but yellow hills. Japan has its Sakura; we have Poui.
