Ando sprinted across the open ground and darted under the bookshelf. He made his way to the back and hid in the dark, watching... waiting. His heart was thumping so loudly that he was sure the cat could hear it.
Darn cat always chased him around the kitchen, catching him and then letting him go if he managed to wiggle his way out from under the cat's paw. If not, the cat would nibble at his limbs.
A light breeze tickled his antennae. Ando turned to the side. There was the cat, his eyes big and wide with excitement.
