2038年，一顆巨大的隕石降落於一座城市內城，由於隕石表面覆滿無數細菌，導致周圍動植物異變，而人類若是不幸食用會變成喪屍。


也因為隕石太過顯眼，政府很快就將內城封鎖，感染也沒有進一步的擴散。但為了徹底解決問題，政府招募了百名人才，組成組織「Theia」。在這之後，居住於外城的居民也度過了一小段安穩的時間。


2044年，一顆碩大的拳頭砸破內城的封鎖，內城突然變異的兩隻精英喪屍闖入，外城宣佈淪陷。


2045年，沒有一個地方可謂「安全」，正式進入末日亂世。這時，出現了兩個人類陣營，除此以外的地方都不再安全，分別為：


Habilidad，又稱政府派，為了研究喪屍疫苗而聚集的團體。

Libertas，又稱自由派，只為生存，不為其他而群聚的個人自救團隊。
