Percy lead me into the classroom.
”Good morning Miss story!” Percy sang as soon as we penetrated the doorway.
“Percy!” A young women who was quite short replied “You know you’re not in eight grade anymore.”
”I know, just dropping off my…… sister.”
sister? I loved it. I was Percy Jackson’s sister.
”Oh I remember now! Paul told me that she would be in my home room.”
All the students that where siting at there desks turned to face me. Percy was held my hand.
”Do you want me to stay?” He whispered.
“It’s ok.” I whispered back.
He said bye and told me to meet him in the cafeteria at lunch.
I turned to face the class as the last of the students where filling the empty chairs. miss story clapped a sequence and the students repeated it, instantly quiet.
“This is our new friend. I expect you all to help her around the school and for heavens sake be polite.”
this last line was met with chuckles of pure humour.
” Would you like to write your name on the board?” Miss story asked.
I nodded and turned my back to the class to write my name on the whiteboard.
Kay.
I stared at the neat print for a moment before Turing around.
“Any questions to ask your new classmate?” Miss Story asked.
”Is Kay short for something?”
”No”
”You look a lot younger than us.”
”Yes, I do.”
”How old are you?”
”Turning Twelve later in the year”
”why are you so young?”
”I was boosted a couple grades.”
”Why Was that year Nine kid here?”
”He’s my brother.”
”Are you Mr Blofish’s daughter?”
“No.”
”Then why are you calling Percy your brother?”
“Yeah, why?”
Miss Story clapped a sequence again and asked me to sit down. The news wasn’t much and I made it through the first couple classes easily.
