"Kira, your up."
The instructor said, tapping his clip board, scribbling down his final notes from the person before me.
Finally, it's my turn and I can leave. I get up onto the stage, and position myself on the seat in front of the piano. Situating my feet perfect above the pedals, easy for me to reach without having to think to much about it. The instructor says something, but I miss it.
"Sir?" I say.
"Your music? Where is your sheet music?" Of course.
"Sorry sir, it's in the folder I handed you when I came in earlier." He searches through his piles of papers on the desk and finds mine, pulling my sheet music out of the pocket and looking over it for a moment.
"This wasn't on the list, and I don't believe I have heard of it before." He states. He's about to continue but I cut him off.
"Yes, sir," I stand up walking to the edge of the stage. "But it did state at the very bottom that if we had a piece that we created, we could perform that. And I already sent you a couple emails hoping to confirm it, but you never got back to me.
"Kira Mullins," he says quieter, "grand pianist at age 14." I hear the few people in the stadium seats gasp, and I feel myself stand up straighter.
"Um, yes, sir. May I still try out?"
"Of course, sorry about that. Please take your position. Will you be needing the sheets." I shake my head and walk back to the piano, position my feet over the petal, sitting on the edge of the seat, and my fingers graze the keys.
I let the piece take over me and for the next three and a half minutes, i can feel the music flow through me allowing every note to be hit, the emotion is shown. When I finish, I realize that the seats have been disarranged, and everyone is gone, except for the instructor standing at the back door, applauding but running out the door. The lights flicker as I pass them.
Nothing like this has ever happened before. How else could I have become a grand pianist at the age of 14.

I've been sitting there for at least twenty minutes before I hear the door open. I dart up looking for somewhere else to g, but there isn't. I just side-step into a corner.
"Kira, are you in here?" I recognize the voice, we used to play together all the time. Tyler.
"Tyler, is that you?" I step out of my hiding place to see the boy, 6 feet tall, towering over me just outside the door. His brown hair tussled, his green eyes gleaming. He has two instrument. My bland leather case, and his with a beautiful woodwork design.

"I can't," i say. "You haven't seen what I did to the theater yet." I drop my head and look down at my shoes.
"I saw the whole thing, Kirin. It was Magnificent." His eyes glow even more, and i feel the ground begin to shake, water bubbles forming in the air. we both stare in awe knowing who was doing it. He was doing it.
"It was you," I say taking a step back.
"No, I've been able to do this for a long time, you on the other hand, just had it unlocked by me being there. "
"Your kidding," I smile closing the gap between us and kissing him quickly on the cheek. "Let's play," I say repeating what he said before.
