walking home was normal. Bea was smiling and chatting cheerfully in her short best friend kind of way while I listened from over trout inches above. We came the the crossroads.
“Bye Bea” I said while I watched as she looked left and right before crossing the road. Something wasn’t right. It was coming to quickly. I grabbed Beas backpack and yanked her back to me.

all I pulled back was a limp body with a mess of blood and bones penetrating the skin. I lay Bea down while some passers by started to call for an ambulance.

Bea wasn’t breathing.
She wasn’t moving.
she was just……….there.
Beas eyes glazed over and I screamed.
Why her?
why such a happy and clear full soul?

I sprinted towards her house as fast as I could. My skirt got in the was but I just kept running. I knocked on the front door and Beas mum opened the door to a blubbering sobbing girl in a school uniform. I just simply pulled her along as I ran. She only ran at the same pace when she could see Bea.
I stood there as the ambulance picked up Bea.
then I couldn’t take it. I ran back to my apartment block and when to my thinking space. The rooftop garden. I sat for a few minutes and then stood.
I joined Bea.
