*¹：糖漿三明治一如字面上，就是將吐司淋上甜甜的糖漿、然後對半摺的當成三明治吃的簡易食物，在這裡衍伸意為Kendrick過去貧困潦倒的生活。

*²：這裡很調皮，“俄羅斯方塊”藏了性方面的意涵——將“柱狀物”塞入“洞”裡，然後不斷消去連成一線的方塊，畫面推進像是在“搗”什麼一樣，很有創意。

*³：man-man是Kendrick的父母兒時取給他的小名，意思是小時候就很成熟，是個小大人；至於與它押韻的Sandman（沙男）是指舞台上有表演者表現不好、導致觀眾不滿，就會有sandman出現載歌載舞轉移注意，順便將該表演者請下台。
