Hey, so, again, sorry to be such a Debbie Downer, but I would also like to tell the story of another one of our cats that passed away about a month before Felix, her name was Dixie. Dixie’s story is a lot shorter than Felix’s, because we only had her for about two years.
So, one day, my dad and sibling were coming home from sports practice or something, when they saw a cat on the side of the road. Obviously, they got out and tried to catch it. They succeeded. When they got home, my sibling carried the cat inside, plopped it down next to my mom and simply said “Dixie”; they had named her before they even got home, and because of that, my parents knew she wasn’t going anywhere. We got two wonderful years with her, but she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that ended up being the cause of her passing. RIP Dixie-doodle. 🐈
