Matrix History: Nine hundred years ago, the Age of Terror began. The oceans of Centura rose, beating against the shores of the five continents. Massive storms chipped away at the livelihoods of everyone who lived on Centura. After five hundred years, the storms abated, but the waters did not recede, leaving two continents submerged. Three remained. One hundred years passed peacefully, until the Dark Wars began. The three surviving continents began to attack each other. Each battle fought was bloodier than the last. After two hundred years, the third continent, obliterated but for the smallest country, declared its wish to end the war. The other continents dissented, but each settled on a cease-fire with the lone country. Another fifty years passed in peace for the small country, while the war raged on the rest of Centura. Refugees fled the other two continents, now nearly disintegrated. At the end of eight hundred and fifty years, the last two continents nuked each other, annihilating the cultures and history so long preserved. The waters rose once more, covering the smoking continents. Only the smallest country remained. Now, forty years later, the factions on the island country of Matrix are at war with each other.
