當地球耗盡所有的資源不再適合人類居住後，已經遷徙到最為適合居住的火星。

當火星上的資源將在未來數十年耗盡時，人類向其他異星種族發動戰爭。

最後，各星球的居民為了維護星際和平，而定出一個每三年舉辦一次的資源爭奪比賽。

為了得到最好的分配額度，人類要選出一名合資格的代表。
