Chapter 3
Omegas led me to the area where the criminals stand as I entered the courtroom, where the entire pack was sitting.
Xavier Ronan, Alpha of the Oak pack, dressed in a brown cloak, sat on the judge's chair. who appears to be 27 years old. Another judge Leia Gamora was having blond short hair, eyebrows golden brown, and pale white skin. She appeared to be 30 years old.
I was not prepared to face my husband, who claimed to love me, as a judge at the trial to sentencing me according to Oak's Law.
Xavier walked over to me and wrapped his cloak around me because they could all see through the thin gown I was wearing.
Many people were confused and offended by that act of his because they had hoped that he would treat me like a criminal before they even decided.
"Trial has not started yet. 2 minutes left," Xavier said louder,
Clearing people's doubts to keep them calm. Xavier didn't even look at me and returned to his chair.
Have you ever experienced a loss? I did, not just once, but several times.
my mother died shortly after giving birth to me. My father mysteriously passed away when I was 14 years old; My grandfather abandoned me;
I spent my childhood in an orphanage surrounded by humans.
I thought I'd finally found love and someone to call a family, my husband. His gaze tore my soul that day, and any trust I had in him vanished. I saw hatred in his eyes, and it blinded me to the fact that I would never be found innocent. The most painful memory is being abandoned by loved ones.
"Let the issue be decided," Xavier said
Attorney Rosette stood and walked up to the judges, where the curious crowd behind her could also listen in.
"Sansa Elsher was seen holding a knife over Levine Ronan's dead body. After murdering him, she attempted to flee the territory,"
She shows the silver knife to the judges as evidence.
"This was the knife she used to kill him"
She looked at me before continuing louder. "Although she is guilty," the audience behind her exclaimed, "until proven innocent," Rosette said
"Do you have any lawyer to defend you, Miss Sansa?," the other judge Leia Gamora asked.
Adam got up, but I cut him off by saying, "No, I don't have, and I don't want any."
Adam was concerned about me, but I didn't want to exploit him when I knew the entire membership would turn against him. That's why I wanted to keep him away from the fire I was burning.
"I call the witness Edward Elijah to the stands," Rosette spoke,
Edward, a beta werewolf with black medium pompadour hair who looked to be 28 years old, walked over to the stand.
"Is it true that on the night of February 8, you were in the house with Sansa and Levine?" Rosette inquired.
"Y-yes, technically I was," Edward said quietly. The crowd leaned in and scooted to the edge of their seats, barely able to hear him.
Rosette continued, "And is it true that you were the only one in the house with them?"
Edward lowered his head and nodded
"I’m sorry, but could you please speak up?"
"It's accurate," Edward stated,
"So, could you tell me what happened?" Rosette inquired.
"I went to the house as Xavier told me to bring more beer. When everyone was having a good time at the party outside, I saw Levin and Sansa were—" Edward stated.
"What were they doing?" Rosette inquired.
"They, um, how do I say that? They were doing stuff," Edward stated.
"Can you tell me what exactly?" Rosette inquired.
"Stuff that grown men and women do in the bedroom," Edward explained.
"No, that's not true; he's lying. How could you possibly lie like that? You bastard!" I was helplessly yelling.
"Miss Sansa, your turn will come," said another judge, Leia Gamora, as Xavier looked stunned.
"Keep going, Mr. Edward," Rosette said.
"Levine was telling her to reveal the truth to Xavier, he didn't want to hide anymore, but she didn't want to reveal. They were arguing. She got mad at him, and suddenly, she stabbed him with the knife."
Everyone was shocked. I wanted to kill Edward, but I restrained myself in order not to make another mistake.
"She stabbed him twice in front of me; I rushed over to save Levine, but his soul had already left him," Edward sobbed.
The room filled with whispers.
"Silence," Leia Gomora said.
"How did you find out about Sansa and Levine's affair? Is this your sole assumption?" Rosette inquired.
"Sansa was Levin's mate; I had seen them before by chance many times, and Levine told me that he never wanted to go against his brother, which is why he kept it a secret that he didn't want to hide any longer," Edward stated
The crowd was stunned once more, but my husband Xavier was even more stunned; he hadn't looked me in the eye for more than a second since I walked in. He refused to even look at me after hearing Edward.
"How come he told you?" Rosette inquired.
"He was my best friend, and he shared his secrets with me, one of which I told you," Edward stated
"I have no more questions. You may have a seat," Rosette said.
Edward was looking at me with a contented expression as he left the stand with a big smile on his face.
"Miss Sansa, could you elaborate on your confession?" Leia inquired.
After Edward's testimony, my outburst and subsequent tirade were stunning and heartbreaking for me, especially when I began my "confession" as a woman who had been betrayed and was completely broken.
"Get this lying bitch out of my sight," I yelled, unable to bear Edward's lies, "and I will give you your confession."
"I did not do it. I now wish I had." I said.
I turned to face the hall, that sea of pale faces that had already assumed I was guilty and had bullied me mercilessly.
"I wish I had sufficient poison for each of you. You make me regret not being the monster you want me to be, but there it is. I am innocent, but there will be no justice for me here. Because you're all trying to get rid of me."
My hatred was obvious because each of them tortured and bullied me at every opportunity. I was locked in the dungeon, helpless, and mistreated by the Oak pack, who once treated me like a Queen. But who could have predicted that fate would be so cruel?
They all started yelling and growling, and some of them lost control and rushed over to hurt me. It was becoming increasingly difficult for me to escape this level of cruelty, even though I was surrounded by Omegas' protection.
"Take her back for now," Xavier told Omegas loudly.
Xavier growled at those who were causing havoc on the court. After Alpha Xavier yelled at them in rage, they all stopped talking, and there was total silence everywhere.
