台灣，過去被稱為福爾摩沙，是精靈棲息之島。

「精靈」，是一種無定向性、無形的能量塊，能夠藉由人們的「願力」賜予其型態。於遠古的過去，各部族的人們用精靈造出了一個個宏偉燦爛的文明。

隨著歷史的巨輪不斷推移，其後荷人帶來的鍊金術、漢人帶來的方術以及日人帶來的陰陽道，這些異於精靈系統的奇幻術法，使得這座島的背景更臻多元與複雜，影響至今。

所以，在這座島上，有著無法解釋的超常現象！
就需要機構「蓬萊院」來解決各式各樣的疑難雜症！

本篇主角是使役“禍伏鳥”的精靈使少年・王羽明
（攻）以及
神秘的院長・道士紀夜臣（受），
在他們之間、幸與不幸之間，一心嚮往愛的故事。
