Knowing a Hell within, born of our own lies.

A silent intruder, watching and waiting.

That stranger to truth, lingering in our hearts.

We waste away, losing ourselves.

And as you fade in the cries of desperation,

Much as tears are lost in the rain,

Our lies become us, and we bow to them.

Kingdoms lost to our own fears.

For we were once mostly heart,

Though no longer.
