Amariah never thought that she would be able to spit such words to her dear husband, yet her mouth started speaking the harsh sentences without holding back:

- I feel as though now I understand why divorce is such a necessity at times. - her anger turns into painful sorrow  - I can't believe I'm saying this... but you were right from the start... Ayaan, I realized that it is truly impossible for us to be together. We are far too different, we don't seem to ever understand each other, and this... this is unbearable. I want a divorce...

Her head is hanging down, eyes unfocused, traveling from one side of the dim room to the other. She is trying her hardest to hold back her tears, even though some of them already made their way to her blushed cheeks in a hurry. She cannot fully see the man in front of her, yet his presence feels suffocating. She wonders what his expression might be, if he was expecting all of it from the start, or if he was the one who arranged everything. After a minute which felt like years the man finally speaks in a low voice:

- Amaya, what you are asking is impossible. It is better for you to go to your room and calm down. We shall continue once you will be reasonable to...

- Stop it! - Amariah interrupts him and immediately lifts her head, trying to meet his gaze. She bet he was smirking, his tone of voice seemed so calm it was irritating- I beg you, let's stop all...

Somehow she managed to catch sight of her dear husband's face. The man's eyes happen to be red and teary. In fact, his beard is all wet enduring these silent teardrops that didn't seem to stop at any time. His wide shoulders are shaking quietly, and his tall build for some reason appears to be so small and fragile to her, that she forgot what this fuss was all about.

- Fine. Just give me five minutes and I'll be back.

The man utters slowly before turning his back.

This was the moment that Amariah felt her heart physically fall to pieces. And as her dear husband's figure started to disappear from the stairs to the bedroom, she regretted leaving her room this morning.
