When I think of the word “blue”, I think of more than just the color, I think of the feeling that it can portray, as in “I’m feeling a bit blue today”. Why can a simple color affect our mood and the way we feel? Well, I could try to give you some psychological reason as to why this happens, but instead, I’m going to give you my opinion. My opinion on this topic is that colors can, for some reason, affect our mood. Like with mood lighting, warmer colors, like hues of orange and gold, tend to calm the spirit and relax the soul, but in a good way. While, on the other hand, there are colors like blues and teils that just make you feel so desolate, cold, and depressed. To be honest, I’m not really sure why this phenomenon happens, and I really don’t feel like researching it, so this is all I have to say about the topic of the color blue.
