墮為無翅者、右手失去知覺、家宅付之一炬、和兒時玩伴決裂⋯⋯種種的磨難都像是要摧毀緒空的幸福那般接踵而至，但在對他來說最重要的那人的陪伴下，躲避追兵的流亡生活仍然不乏快樂的時光。

然而自那天起，他被迫與所愛之人別離。已然一無所有的緒空就像走入了沼澤，心靈隨著時間推進逐漸被自己的弱小與無力感給淹沒，就這樣在痛苦中愈陷愈深。幸福的生活褪了色，迷失了方向的他卻不知該往哪裡去找回昔日的色彩，只能渾渾噩噩地過著日子。

某天，緒空的世界裡被素昧平生的詠夏給闖了進來，如處在光譜兩端的他們之相遇，讓緒空如醍醐灌頂般頓悟。紊亂的思緒逐漸被理清，裹足不前的他終於能再次前行。

尋找所愛之人的路途遙遠，但緒空將與詠夏重訪過去逃亡時曾留下回憶的各個地方，憑著一柄劍在這個因種族繁雜、思想衝突導致欺壓和戰亂層出不窮的舞蝶界闖蕩。

火藥、巫術、符咒、蝶術、神器⋯⋯在這個多方文化夾雜的世界裡，一趟覽盡世界之壯麗與黑暗的奇幻旅程即將展開！
