　　故事在講述一名參與ＶＲ遊戲專案的ＱＡ工程師與他的社畜人生（並不是在影射作者）。

　　跨世代的ＶＲ遊戲《Fantasy Dream VR》搭載了成熟的ＡＩ對話系統，遊戲中的每一位ＮＰＣ都有如真人般的演出，讓玩家體驗一個活生生奇幻世界。而長時間泡在遊戲中的主角也是與遊戲中的ＮＰＣ相處最久的人，在一次又一次的對話後，主角對這些ＮＰＣ的看法產生了變化……

　　※註：ＱＡ工程師，全名為「品質保證工程師」（Quality Assurance Engineer），主要的工作為藉由不斷地測試來找出軟體的錯誤（Bugs）或是其他不算錯誤但是可以改進的地方。
