I woke up early this morning... I sat up, turned my head, and saw a guy in bed with me. I got screaming and ran out the door crying. While I was running I could feel cold tears running down my face. I was almost to the door when I felt cold hands wrap around my waist. I tried to break free but this person was too strong. He turned me around and I saw that it was Charles.

“Polly... please don’t run away. I’ll stop you before you can make it out the door. Why are you crying, my love?”
I looked at him with sad eyes. I was terrified. I thought this was all a dream but it was real... I felt Charles pulling me into a hug. I didn’t pull back because even though he kidnapped me, I was starting to fall in love with him... He swooped me up into his arms and brought me into the room.
“This is your room, Polly. I want you to get washed and dressed. Brie will show you where to go once you are ready.”
I nodded and he left in a blink of an eye. I saw Brie walk in. She smiled at me and went to start the shower. She got out a sleeveless red and black dress and placed it on the bed.
“ I will help you with your hair and makeup when you’re ready,” Brie told me.
I nodded and walked into the bathroom. I locked the door behind me and got in the shower. The shower was blasting hot. I didn’t know how to make it cooler so I just shampooed and conditioned my hair. Then I quickly washed my body and got out. As I was wrapping a towel around me I heard a knock on the door.
“Can I come in?” asked Brie.
“Yes,” I replied.
She came in with the dress and red strap heels.
“Here, put these on,” Brie said.
I did what she told me to do. I put on the dress and it looked good on me. Then I put on the red strap heels. They made me look a lot taller.
Brie pointed to a chair for me to sit in. I walked over to the chair slowly and sat down. She did my hair really fancy not knowing why but I guess there is a good reason why. Then she did my makeup. I was never a fan of makeup, especially eyeliner and mascara but I let Brie do my makeup.
“Polly, please follow me.”
I nodded and followed her. She brought me to two big doors and opened them slowly. In a blink of an eye, Charles was right next to me. He took my hand and brought me to the table. He pulled out a chair for me and I sat down. Before he went to sit down he gave me a kiss on my cheek.
“Hello Polly,” said a woman sitting down across the table from me.
“How nice to finally meet you, Polly” said a man next to the woman.
They both looked young but they had a 17-year-old son. I was so scared that I looked down at the floor. I wanted to run out of here and find my way back home.
“Polly don’t be scared, these are my parents” I heard Charles’s voice in my head. I looked at Charles shocked and wondering how he got in my head. He gave me a smile and I tried my best to give him as real of a smile as I could.
“Polly, this is Abigail, my mother. And that is Raymond, my father.”
“Hi. It’s very nice to meet you both,” I smiled at them and they smiled back.
“We’re just so glad that Charles has found you,” said Abigail.
“Yes, indeed we are. You make him so very happy. You’re much prettier than Charles described you,” said Raymond.
“Thank you,” I replied.
I stared at my plate and folded my hands in my lap. I felt Charles’s cold hand on mine. I looked at him and he was grinning at me. I smiled back at him. I looked at Abigail and Raymond, and I could see the love that they share with each other.
“May I use the restroom?” I asked them.
“Sure, honey,” said Abigail.
“It’s right over there,” said Raymond.
Charles pulled out my chair for me. He helped me up and walked me over to the door. I walked in and shut the door then locked it. I sat on the floor with my head between my knees. I was scared, I didn’t know who they were or what they were. I wanted to run, to escape but they would catch me before I could even get out of the front door. I saw a window in the corner. It was just big enough for me to get through it. I slowly opened the window and jumped out.
I was about to go down the driveway when I saw guards there. I held the bottom of my dress and ran into the forest. I kept on running and running until I found a little town. Not too far behind, I heard guards calling my name. I saw the guards coming and hid behind one of the houses. I felt a hand grab me by my hair hard and drag me to the front of the house.
“Girls!! We have our dinner,” said the woman.
“No. Let me go.” I yelled.
I tried to break free from her grip but couldn’t. I didn’t know what she was until I felt something sharp puncture my skin.
“NOOO!!” I did not know who yelled but it sounded familiar. Just as I started thinking that I was going to die, I felt an ice-cold hand rip me from the woman’s grip. I heard some more yelling and then Charles came up to me and gave me an apologetic look. He picked me up and carried me back to his home.
