I found his letter. I don’t know why Vin wrote that. Animato and him were great friends. I loved seeing them together, working on projects-even if I wanted to see him more. But this?! I don’t know what I want to say. I don’t even know what to do.
I walked into the bathroom, just to take a look in the mirror. I looked different from what I normally was. Animato’s death has put me into a state of what humans always say, “Depression.” My white fur was slowly turning gray from the lack of caring anymore. My eyes are now a dull blue, from the bright blue it once was. I can't lift anything for shit anymore. I’m weak now. Animato was the fuel to my strength, but without him, I fall.
I want to see him alive again. I really do.
Vin talked about how the main specimen floor, 23A, was still unsafe. I don’t think that is true. Though, living on floor 2 is not the best, because no matter where you go, there are always cameras watching. I have to sneak or completely disable the cameras, so no one can get suspicious of me.
Security is floor 27…
Shit. God, why does everything have to be so difficult? I’m instead just going to go up the stairs normally.

I hate the stairs. They are very tiring, and after you climb them, you just don't want to do anything. Your legs are aching, and your core feels like it wants to crumble.

Floor 23 is different. I can almost relate to it, Everything is gray. A permanent gray. The whole place looks dull and dark, and everything looks weak…
Before I got too far, the power flicked back on. I could almost see the haziness of the room. The gas is still present. The gas slowly crept to my face, but when it hit my face, nothing happened.

Then I heard something. A distant noise of a keyboard typing. I ran as quickly as I could to the sound.
