Today is another typical busy workday for Abbie except for one appointment she had on her schedule, her family reunion. She is contemplating about going because of the phrases she was fed-up hearing about which for sure will find its way to make it through the conversation over dinner. She knew that the easiest way she could be able to escape from this situation is to go somewhere without cellular reception. However, she might miss some important business-related communications, “should I go instead? she said while looking at herself in front of a mirror. Abbie suddenly being reminded of what she promised to herself; that she will work tirelessly for no matter how many years it will take her just to reach her desired financial stability to finally enjoy her life moving forward and retire early.
She reached her goal but still unable to live a little and fully enjoy her life. She is busier than ever and had little to no time for herself to relax. While looking at herself in the mirror, she said "Okay fine, I'll let myself enjoy life a little and let go from all those pressures putting up to me. I'll don't think about them and didn't need to force myself going there. But what excuse I could give this time?"
Her phone received a notification, so she picked it up. It was a notification from a hiking group she follows on social media; there was a hiking event to Mt. Ulap scheduled today and they are looking for one more joiner for their group. She said, "just in the nick of time, my much-needed solution!" Abbie contacted the group and signed up, prepared everything she needed for the hike and sent a message to her mom advising that she won't be able to make it to tonight's event. She felt an adrenaline rush which she hasn't felt for years. Abbie got to her car and drive to the pick-up point.
