The chief of the security watch company comes into the end room- the one connected to the wait room, in the middle of the building, little strange they call it “the end room” or is that just a normal thing
when I noticed I was standing in the chiefs office I get immediate chills. A felling that’s indescribable , just along with the strong felling of paranoia. The fear that someone always has their eyes on you. Creepy weird.
“You are McKenzie Reed,I am Stan William. I am the chief here at security watch” “ms.reed”
he sounded so familiar, I just couldn’t think of it, especially with the stress of trying to figure out what to say next. On the edge of my mind I could only say 3 words
”you chose me”
the looks on everyone’s faces when I said that made me feel like I had said something wrong. I don’t think I did, everything I said was right. Well it was the truth.
But the truth to someone could be totally different from mine, or someone else’s.
All I know is at any moment with everyone’s judge mental looks and tone, they could kick me out of the “first longest” job that I’ve Been at -
“well then, welcome to the program”
the tone of the man’s voice..I could definitely tell it was a man, but not identifiable. A program though? I thought it was a job. I guess that is a “clue” on why they picked me for this place, but why me?
