“Does this have something to do with the empty room?” asked Mr. Cake with a very serious tone.
He nodded his head confidently.
“Even though it's carpeted, that doesn't mean it's completely inaudible. If it's done carefully," he said nodding. "But when dad in that room, his voice always sounded barbaric."
He added that as a child every night when he tried to find his mother who was not in the room, it always ended up in the empty room. The voice sounded faint but he believed that his future matters were also related to his father's profit.

I, personally, I am quite curious about the strange relationship of the Ulric Family. It doesn't sound common when family members are against each other. Moreover, people who are not from the family, Miss Belladonna, are said to be not considered as human.
When Mr. Cake asked about what made Mr. Ulric’s father gave up, whether it was physical. But he shook his head in denial.
"Are you crazy? I have never won against a man who has never missed his routine of martial arts!” he firmly refused.
That's quite natural though, not with his posture or mentality, I guess.
Mr. Cake was silent for a moment, he held his chin. His mouth moved softly in a not-so-clear voice.
"How is your relationship with Mr. Alex and Miss Zoe? Why did you decide to befriend them?”
He replied that, when he was in elementary school, he only had those two friends. One of them never left until he got to work. According to Mr. Ulric, they are the only ones who accept it for what it is. Further explained, Alex and Zoe are the only ideal friends to confide in.
"I never expected a relationship that was more than that, because you know myself I'm not a social type of person. Moreover I have some problems. But in middle school, Zoe said otherwise. You know a kid that age? They think they are experts on love. When Mr. Cake continued to dig deeper into Mr. Ulric’s two step family members, the man just shook his head neither understanding nor caring. The man clutched his chin, an eyebrow raised in one side.
“Constable said that evidence of murder was found because in dad's room there was a photo of stepmother with another man. Then another thing, the shorts were found under the bed the stepmother was sleeping in."
When Mr. Cake asked when he got information about leniency, the man shook his head in disbelief and said it was about a week.
“Well, in the end the three-years prison term went to my father. The same incident, I fell asleep and was dreaming that the man would face an accident on the road although not specific. When I woke up, on top of the drawer there was surprisingly a car brake pop.” He shrugged.
After that Mr. Cake asked two things, about the book he had brought from the empty room. The man was sure that he didn't know the book at all.
“Finally, how was the condition of the room when you woke up and started to find out that Ann Christine died?”
"Hm.. I don't really remember. But I clearly saw some things."
Finally, Mr. Cake thanked him for providing so much information even though it was the last, threatening way. Even so, the look on Mr. Cake looks tired. How come? While in the taxi he had just been chewing sandwiches and gulping down his milkshake greedily. Well, he must have been very hungry because lunch turned into the afternoon.
Meanwhile I'm getting confused about this case. Leaning my head didn't make much difference other than being sleepy.
