It all started when I fell asleep or at least that's what I think happened, and the next thing I knew I was in some kind of warehouse. I turned my head to see a boy probably about my age rocking back and forth with a look of fear. I hesitated to speak, but it just came out.
"Who are you?''
He responded with "NO."
Well, that wasn't very helpful in my opinion. So I decided to explore this kind of dump that he looked like he had been living in for some time. I glided across the room to a mirror that read.
"2 months and 3 days."
I was honestly kinda confused at what that meant. Was that the days he has been here or how long we were gonna be here? Next thing I knew the boy spoke actual words.
"So you were taken too."
Well, I have no idea what that was supposed to mean so I responded again with the same question.
"Who are you?"
The boy hesitated but looked up at me. His eyes were a dark hazel and he had black curly hair. He responded.
"I am Timothy, I have been here 2 months and 3 days. Food and the water are over there near that box." "If you wanna get out good luck 'cause I have been trying for a while, and well I have given up."
I was in shock at that length of time. Had it really been that long? I decided that I was not gonna give up hope although I had just somehow gotten here. Which, I have no clue how that happened.
I moved to a bed that had a change of clothes that looked like they were for me. I picked them up and tossed them on the floor next to the food box. Which, I stared at it for like forever and then decided, why not let's check it out. I opened the box and my eye caught mac and cheese. Which let me tell you is my absolute fav no doubt.
"How in the world am I supposed to cook this?"
Timothy stands up and walks over to the door, and starts banging. Next thing I knew a person walks in with a black ski mask. He (which I assumed from the low voice) says.
"What you want kids?"
Timothy replies by pointing to the Mac and Cheese box in my hand. Then the man walks over to me and grabs it out of my hand. He starts walking over to the door, and I knew now was my chance to escape. "Nope, it's just how they are."
Hours passed by which felt like forever, and it was time to sleep. We had one problem though, there was only one bed. In my opinion, I think it's first come first serve so yeah we raced to the bed. Let me tell you that Timothy is a mastermind. He managed to make me trip then stand up and proceed to trip all the way to the foot of the bed where I was not sleeping.
So today, 2 years ago if I have calculated it correctly, it's been Timothy and me. Somehow we haven't managed to escape but I think we have a plan for tonight. But we can't seem to decide if we want to leave. This place has been a home to us for so long, and I honestly don't remember what my family looks like. Which I know is terrible but Timothy and I have learned to love each other and get to know each other over the year. Should we leave or stay, I ask Timothy.
He responds with
"I think staying kidnapped isn't half a bad idea."
I laughed and rested my head on his shoulder, feeling safer than ever, while being kidnapped, and of course eating mac and cheese.
