    大航海時代西方人東來，在這個海商亦是”盜”的明朝末年，東亞海商霸主李旦的次子-李文，在打殺劫掠的海上貿易裡，是個做事強悍英明果敢的李家少主。


    某次，李文因遭遇船難漂流到台灣大員，被麻豆社長老的女兒-西拉雅救起帶回家照顧。


    西拉雅不是白傻甜，而是善良、堅韌跟勇敢的化身。李文外表高富帥，但內心其實是一個傷痕累累的小男孩，一個人孤單地面對著不斷啃噬他的過往童年。


    兩個人的原生家庭都有很大問題，差異在於西拉雅家裡充滿愛，李文家則充滿權力鬥爭，導致他只能冰山冷峻的面對人生這一切事情，直到遇見西拉雅，一道他生命中的光，他們倆之間將會交錯出什麼樣的燦爛火花呢。


    這一年恰恰好是荷蘭人來到大員的西元1624年，麻豆社作為大員地區最大的部落，當舊有勢力面對著新勢力的到來，麻豆社會乖乖順從荷蘭人的統治嗎？而新港社和蕭壟社將在兩者間作出什麼選擇，李文所帶領的漢人海商又將在大員扮演什麼樣的角色？


    政權更迭、社會動盪，時代的巨輪已經開始轉動，李文跟西拉雅兩個人的感情又將何去何從？
