You wake up to a loud thump that rattles the glass of your bedroom window. You gasp and open your eyes. Your heart began to race as you quickly get up from your bed. “What was that?” you thought. You knew it wasn’t an earthquake. If that were the case, everything would still be shaking. Nothing exciting ever happens in your small rural town, so after a minute you quickly dismiss it and try to get yourself back to sleep. “It’s probably nothing.” You tell yourself while you reposition your body in bed and lay your head back on your pillow.
However, from the corner of your eye you notice strange colored lights now coming from outside your bedroom window. You notice your digital clocks light in the darkness of your room. It was 3 in the morning, and you knew deep down that you’ve never heard a sound so loud as that was before. Maybe your mother heard it too. So, you decide to get up and open the bedroom door. That’s when you heard the front door of your house open and close.
“Did someone just come inside the house?” As you reach for your doorknob, just inches away from it, you stop and quickly race to the window instead. Your eyes widen as you peek through the blinds to find that your mother is walking towards the dead end of your street. “Mom?” Oddly enough you notice other adults doing the same, leaving their homes and walking towards the dead end. Your hands began to shake a little.
“Why are all the adults sneaking through the fence?” The dead end leads to a fence. Each adult from every home from your block crawls through the fence. You notice each of them doing it one by one. A long line of adults in single file crawl under a hole in the fence and make it into the woods. In the distance you can see that strange light. “Is this all a dream?” You ask yourself as you were frozen in place just looking at all the adults forming a line one right after the other.
You knew a shortcut on how to get to the woods faster, but you had to act quickly if you were to see what exactly was happening to all the adults. In your mind you knew something felt off. However, in that moment you wanted to get in contact with your friend Blair instead to see if she knew what exactly was going on. Her house was right across the street.
Suddenly you saw her parents open the front door and walk towards the dead end as well. You needed to prove to her what was going on. Maybe she was up and saw everything, or maybe she was still asleep. You were not sure. But if both of you could quickly get to the woods and see what all the adults were up to, you could feel better that someone other than just yourself was aware of the situation.

CHOOSE [2] GET TO YOUR FRIEND BLAIRS HOUSE WITHOUT GETTING CAUGHT AND BRING HER ALONG TO THE WOODS.
